Mission Statement: I can understand that humans impact the environment and individuals can influence public policy decisions related to energy and the environment by watching informational videos and analyzing notes on resources by completing activities in which I apply the information learned. 

 

Directions:  Students should complete the following activities by June 11th, 2020.  

 

  • 1.  Login to Flocabulary via Clever. Under your assignments tab, complete the lesson on Natural Resources. Watch the video. If working Online, complete the Vocab Game. If using printed material, complete the vocabulary cards.  Complete the “Read and Respond” and the “Quiz.”



  • 2. Open up and complete the Renewable and Nonrenewable resources activity.  



  • 3.  Open the Natural Resources Notes and complete the Google form “Natural Resources Notes Answer Sheet”. Use the slides to fill in the blanks on the notes. 

 

  • 4.  Complete the Kahoot Activity once you’ve completed the first three activities on Natural Resources.

Directions:  Students should complete the following activities by May 15th, 2020.  

  • Learning Activity #1
  1. FOR ONLINE LEARNERS: on google classroom go to the “Sun’s Energy   Information” Powerpoint and open “Sun’s Energy Information Notesheet” (it may be helpful to print out if you can) and fill in the blanks as you are going through the slideshow. 
  2. FOR PAPER PACKET LEARNERS go through the given slides and fill in the blanks of the notes sheet. 
  • Learning Activity #2
  1. FOR ONLINE LEARNERS: go to the classwork assignment titled “Earth’s Energy Budget” and read the article. After you have read the article open the google form titled Earth’s Energy Budget questions and answer the questions that go along with the article. 
  2. FOR PAPER PACKET LEARNERS: Read the Article Titled “Earth’s Energy Budget” and answer the questions throughout the packet. 
  • Learning Activity #3
  1. FOR ONLINE LEARNERS: go to the classwork assignment titled “Greenhouse Gas Activity” and read through the story line **don’t forget the video at the end** after go to the google form title “Greenhouse Gas Questions” and answer the questions based on what you just learned about the greenhouse gases.
  2. FOR PAPER PACKET LEARNERS: Read the GreenHouse gases story line and answer the questions that go along with the story. 
  • Learning activity # 4 
  1. FOR ONLINE LEARNERS: Login to brainpop and Watch the brain pop video titled “Hurricanes” and complete the quiz and challenge after the video.

Mission Statement: I can identify and apply the many properties of water learned by watching informational videos, analyzing the information on powerpoints, and by completing hands-on investigations of water.

 

Directions:  Students should complete the following activities by May 1st, 2020.  

 

  • Learning activity # 1.  Login to Flocabulary via Clever. Under your assignments tab, complete the lesson on Water. Watch the video. If working Online, complete the Vocab Game. If using printed material, complete the vocabulary cards.  Complete the “Read and Respond” and the “Quiz.”
  • Learning activity # 2. Open up the Google Form -2 Exploration of Water answer sheet and leave it open.

Then open up 2. Exploration of  Properties of Water Station Lab. Complete the Stations and use the Answer sheet to record and submit your answers.

  • Learning activity # 3.  Open the 3. Explanation of Properties of Water Slides and the 3 Properties of Water Modified Notes. Use the slides to fill in the blanks on the notes and submit.
  • Learning activity # 4. Complete the Walking Water Experiment and submit.
  • Learning activity # 5. Complete Properties of Water Assessment and submit. 

 

Mission Statement: I can identify the subatomic particles and structure of an atom. Compare and contrast chemical and physical changes of matter by watching informational videos and analyzing notes on atoms and changes in matter and by completing activities in which I apply the information learned.

Directions: Students should complete the following activities by April 17, 2020.

❏ Read the Essential Information Notes for 6.4 Matter- answer the questions in the notes and use the notes as a resource.

 

❏ View the Atoms Family Power point and complete the Atomic Math Questions at the end of the Power Point – If completing online create your own answer document to submit answers.

 

❏ Read the Changes in Matter Notes and Complete the Changes in matter activity. Online –Drag and Drop, Printed – Cut and Paste

 

❏ Login to Flocabulary via Clever. Under your assignments tab, complete the lesson on Physical and Chemical Changes. Watch the video. If working Online, complete the Vocab Game. If using printed material, complete the vocabulary cards. Complete the “Read and Respond” and the “Quiz.
